The scale doesn't move because you are not eating less than you are burning. When you are losing weight, you are literally burning more calories than you are consuming. The amount of calories you burn is determined by your basal metabolic rate, which can be found by looking at your BMR chart (google it). 

The more active you are, the more you burn. If you want to lose 1 lb. a week, you must cut out 500 calories from your diet every day. If you want to lose 2 lbs. a week, you must cut out 1000 calories. Calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and you must not eat more than that in a day. Lack of water - We are all aware that we should drink a certain amount of water each day. The problem with some is that they drink too much and that water can put on weight. I tend to recommend that most people weigh themselves first thing in the morning. This is because your body has been sat all night, so is dehydrated. You do not want to weigh yourself after a workout because your body is going to be full of protein-rich fluids.

Your body needs time to adjust to your new routine. And so do you. Don’t worry if the scale isn’t moving. Don’t panic if you aren’t losing weight as fast as your friend, who’s doing the same routine. It’s not a competition. Just relax, take a deep breath, and be patient. It will come.
